The first 40 days postpartum set the tone for the next 40 years.
And yet, so many new parents, as well as those growing their families, enter this important season feeling unprepared, overwhelmed and lost.
It can be hard to find the right support, or even to appreciate what that support should be, when you're in the thick of it.
Our Postpartum Mapping Workshop + Circle helps you set up this crucial support in advance.
At birthing bliss, we believe in the power of postpartum mapping- an approach that goes beyond a checklist of items for the baby, to truly support you and your family in creating a nourishing, well-supported fourth trimester for you all.
I wasn’t sure what to expect as I have never considered ‘planning’ my postpartum but now I feel it is essential for every woman to have this.
- Louise from Linden

It’s the groundwork for your long-term physical health too: from healing and hormonal integration to overall repletion, vitality and strength.
It’s part of the most intensive window of neural development your baby will ever experience.
Your rest, support and wellbeing will ripple directly into your baby’s development.
It’s a crucial time for secure attachment,
breastfeeding, and healthy nervous system, immune system + brain development, each shaping your baby’s wellbeing for life.

I’ve been there too.
I felt so prepared and ready to meet my first baby- the nursery was done, and everything our baby could possibly need was organised.
Fast forward to my 2nd postpartum, and he has never even slept in that nursery.
I remember feeling completely lost during his postpartum- ordering all these books weeks into it, trying to work out what we actually needed to support us during this precious, but trying, season.
By then we had learnt that our ‘preparation’ for postpartum didn’t really prepare us at all.
We had fixated on everything we thought our baby could possibly need, but gave zero thought to what I would need and what our family unit as a whole would need (ie what he actually needed).
The second time round, I directed energy and intentionality into my postpartum preparation. It wasn’t an afterthought, and it wasn’t outshone by our preparation for birth.
I leaned into key postpartum principles to create a foundation that could hold and nourish our whole family.
And it made a huge difference to our experience.
This postpartum has cemented a truth I’ve known for a while: true postpartum preparation and support is not an indulgence but an essential investment.
I made this offering for the lost version of me and for any family feeling the same, whether it’s your first or fourth.
With the right support, this transformative time can lay the foundation for lifelong wellbeing, deep connection, and holistic healing for you and your family.
This isn’t a template - it’s an individualised, guided and reflective process.
It blends education, guided reflection, and practical preparation: a deep dive into the eight core postpartum principles, journal prompts that help you integrate those lessons into your lived experience, uncover your vision, clarify potential obstacles, and identify the support structures that will truly hold you.
Plus it’s not a ‘plan’ either.
Plans can be a beautiful way to visualise the postpartum of your dreams. But they only scratch the surface:
That’s why I offer mapping instead.
Mapping:
Because it’s not about controlling the journey. It’s about having the knowledge, support, and confidence to navigate it, no matter how it unfolds.
Honestly, you can find a lot of this information online.
But what most people struggle with isn’t access to information, it’s the overwhelm of having too much of it. Getting stuck in research mode, getting lost in conflicting advice, and the guesswork and mental load of sifting through endless sources trying not just to find the right pieces but to connect them in a way that works.
What I’ve done in this workshop is filter that noise down into a clear, step-by-step approach based on real experience and devoted study of postpartum, so you don’t have spend that time and energy trying to patch something helpful together.
Plus, its not just a webinar- it’s a deeply reflective, practical and interactive workshop where we’ll explore your vision of a truly supported postpartum, obstacles to that vision and strategies to overcome them.
Plus, its not just a workshop, it’s a circle too. A space to connect with other mums, hear real lived experiences, process what you’re learning, and feel supported as you do.
And there's also an eBook for ongoing reflection and preparation.
Because this isn’t just a webinar you listen to and forget. It's not information without the support to practically integrate it.
Postpartum Mapping isn’t about adding adding pressure, it’s about easing it.
This workshop is designed to be serious value for money: to be flexible and timesaving. You can join live and/or take it at your own pace as an on-demand resource. Same goes for your partner + you can also share the eBook with them to bring them up to speed with accessible and practical summaries of the core content.
No. This is to protect the privacy of everyone sharing and to keep the space safe, open, and genuinely supportive.
That said, all of the exercises will be available for you to explore in your own time if you’re unable to join live. And I’m always available to connect via email or message if anything comes up for you or you’d like to share or ask questions.
This offering is for any family:
I’ve worked with families in their first postpartum and in their fourth.
Every family deserves this kind of support and the truly nourishing and supportive postpartum that follows.
Absolutely.
This workshop + circle is designed to help you integrate the postpartum principles and deepen your support, whether or not you’re utilising doula care. But if you are curious about postpartum care, this will also help you identify gaps in support and areas where a doula could benefit you.
Your experience matters too. You deserve care that’s just as intentional as the care you’ll give your baby.
Plus, your wellbeing and your baby’s wellbeing are deeply connected. Meeting your needs is meeting theirs.
During the fourth trimester, babies have sensitive, developing nervous systems and rely on their caregivers for co-regulation ie learning how to feel safe, soothed, and secure in the world. In the same way, a caregiver’s stress and responsiveness shape a baby’s lifelong stress patterns and attachment.
This is just one example of how closely intertwined your needs are with your baby’s.
When a mother is nourished and supported, her baby thrives, and so does the whole family for that matter.
The benefits of a supported postpartum are so expansive.
Benefits to the whole family unit, now and into their future, reaching so many layers of their individual and collective wellbeing.
To give a few examples:
And because each family member’s experience is so deeply connected, every benefit to one strengthens them all. A supported parent, for example, is better resourced to co-regulate, be present with, and emotionally available for their kids - showing how support for their emotional wellbeing flows throughout the whole family unit.
For many of us, our mothers and grandmothers didn’t have this kind of support. They survived, but they didn’t necessarily thrive. They did what they could with what they had.
But that doesn’t mean it has to be the same for us. Prioritising rest, recovery, and support isn’t self-indulgent. It’s:
And it’s setting a new standard for the next generation: We don’t “bounce back”, we move forward - supported, nourished and stronger for it.
There was a lot [that was valuable]- the 7/7/7 information, guidance about warmth, movement and food. I feel like everything you provided was structured in a flow to be able to take in the pp process step by step rather than being overwhelmed.
I feel educated, confident and organised with a supportive ‘plan’ that my family are on board with.
