POSTPARTUM MAPPING SESSIONS

Prepare for your Postpartum with the Intention and Care it Deserves

Together we’ll co-create the foundation for a nourishing, well-supported fourth trimester for you all

Let's map your family's foundation

Why Postpartum Preparation Matters

Postpartum is often treated as an afterthought, but it shouldn’t be.

The first 40 days postpartum set the tone for the next 40 years.

And yet, so many new parents, as well as those growing their families, enter this important season feeling unprepared, overwhelmed and lost.

It can be hard to find the right support, or even to appreciate what that support should be, when you're in the thick of it.

Our Postpartum Mapping Sessions help you set up this crucial support in advance.

At birthing bliss, we believe in the power of postpartum mapping- an approach that goes beyond a checklist of items for the baby, to truly support you and your family in creating a nourishing, well-supported fourth trimester for you all.

We provide personalised guidance, so you are deeply supported as you transition into this new chapter.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I have never considered ‘planning’ my postpartum but now I feel it is essential for every woman to have this.

Invest in your family's lifelong wellbeing

Who’s This For?

This is for anyone preparing for postpartum

whether it’s your first or your fourth.

It’s for you if:

  • You want to have a nourishing, supportive postpartum but aren’t sure where to start.
  • You’re approaching your first postpartum or reflecting on a previous postpartum and wanting to approach it differently this time.
  • You’re looking for a 1:1, deeply personalised and supportive space to explore your questions,  identify your vision,  anticipate obstacles and reflect on the support that will hold your family through this season.
  • You want straight-to-the-point, easy-to-implement information without sifting through endless books or podcasts to patch something helpful together.
  • You want to take your preparation beyond a checklist of items for the baby; to ensure it truly meets your needs (and your family's).
  • You’re either new to postpartum principles or ready to deepen your understanding.
  • You want something practical, reflective and grounded that doesn’t feel overwhelming.
  • You’re curious about doula care and want a clear sense of how it could support you (as mapping helps reveal the gaps, needs and opportunities where doula support can make a real difference.)
  • You want an accessible “taste test” of working with a doula but also something powerful, practical and transformative on its own, whether or not you continue with ongoing support.

Informative on all levels, relaxed and supportive. It’s assisted my family with preparation we could never have catered in any other way.

The 8 core principles of a supportive postpartum:

  • Rest
  • Warmth
  • Nourishing Food
  • Bodywork
  • Confinement
  • Community Care
  • Spiritual Companionship
  • Connection to Nature

Your family’s unique needs:

  • your vision, priorities + specific needs
  • your fears, concerns + questions
  • potential roadblocks + flexible strategies to incorporate these principles with more ease
  • how to call in tailored support from your village
  • how my doula care can expand and enhance your village of support

No two sessions are the same. Each is tailored to the family’s needs.

You’ll leave feeling deeply supported and ready to claim your nourishing fourth-trimester.

Your nourished, supported postpartum starts here

There was a lot [that was valuable]- the 7/7/7 information, guidance about warmth, movement and food. I feel like everything you provided was structured in a flow to be able to take in the pp process step by step rather than being overwhelmed.

I feel educated, confident and organised with a supportive ‘plan’ that my family are on board with.

Why birthing bliss

If you've ever felt:

  • excited to meet your baby then blindsided by the realities and demands of postpartum
  • lost, depleted, overwhelmed in the weeks after birth
  • like you've prepared for the birth itself, but not for what follows

I’ve been there too.

My Story

I felt so prepared and ready to meet my first baby- the nursery was done, and everything our baby could possibly need was organised.

Fast forward to my 2nd postpartum, and he has never even slept in that nursery.

I remember feeling completely lost during his postpartum- ordering all these books weeks into it, trying to work out what we actually needed to support us during this precious, but trying, season.

By then we had learnt that our ‘preparation’ for postpartum didn’t really prepare us at all.

We had fixated on everything we thought our baby could possibly need, but gave zero thought to what I would need and what our family unit as a whole would need (ie what he actually needed).

The second time round, I directed energy and intentionality into my postpartum preparation. It wasn’t an afterthought, and it wasn’t outshone by our preparation for birth.

I leaned into key postpartum principles to create a foundation that could hold and nourish our whole family.

And it made a huge difference to our experience.

This postpartum has cemented a truth I’ve known for a while: true postpartum preparation and support is not an indulgence but an essential investment.

I made this offering for the lost version of me and for any family feeling the same, whether it’s your first or fourth.

With the right support, this transformative time can lay the foundation for lifelong wellbeing, deep connection, and holistic healing for you and your family.

Lay the foundation for your next 40 years

Plans can be a beautiful way to visualise the postpartum of your dreams. But they only scratch the surface:

  • They don’t invite the broader, deeper exploration needed to be confident and responsive when things change.
  • They are narrow, rigid, and unforgiving.
  • When things don’t go to plan, many parents are left feeling lost, stuck, or worse, like they’ve somehow failed.

That’s why I offer mapping instead.

Mapping:

  • Doesn’t script a fixed path or box you in.
  • Is responsive and expansive.
  • Guides you through a landscape of possibilities: the turns, the detours, the “what ifs,” so you are ready to make aligned choices at any fork in the road.

Because it’s not about controlling the journey. It’s about having the knowledge, support, and confidence to navigate it, no matter how it unfolds.

The Positive Birth Program lays the groundwork for your birth, while our Postpartum Mapping Session focuses on the often-overlooked postpartum experience, tailoring support specifically to your journey.

Here, we have the space to focus entirely on your family and your unique postpartum journey.

Plus you’ll receive:

  • 2-hour* private zoom or in person** session tailored to your needs.
  • Pre-session questionnaire to ensure we go straight to what matters most.
  • Personalised Ebook including recap of the postpartum principles, journal prompts for deeper reflection, completed mapping template and curated resource list.
  • Ongoing message and email access for questions following the session.

This offering is for any family:

  • wanting to have a nourishing, supportive postpartum but not sure where to start
  • unsure what support they’ll actually need, or feeling like they didn’t know what they needed last time
  • reflecting on a previous postpartum and wanting to approach it differently this time
  • wanting to do what they can to create the positive experience they deserve

I’ve worked with families in their first postpartum and in their fourth.

Every family deserves this kind of support and the truly nourishing and supportive postpartum that follows.

I get it (truly). Investing in postpartum support can feel big, especially when you're already investing in prams, car seats, bassinets etc for the baby. And since this kind of support isn’t yet the norm, it’s normal to pause before saying yes.

A few things to consider as you decide whether this stretch is possible:

  • Tailored payment plans are always available.
  • This is currently the most affordable way to work with me.
  • Investing in postpartum support doesn’t just carry you through that pivotal season, it continues to nurture your whole family’s well-being for years to come.

Prams and baby gear eventually get packed away. But the value of birth and postpartum support lasts- impacting your baby and your family for life.

If this feels aligned but financially tight, please reach out + we can explore solutions together.

That’s exactly why these sessions are designed to be flexible and time-saving:

  • Online and accessible from anywhere
  • Choose between one 2-hour session or two 1-hour sessions
  • Pre-mapping questionnaire, Ebook with curated resource list and ongoing support to streamline the process

Postpartum Mapping isn’t about adding more information to your plate; it’s about simplifying it. It’s not about adding pressure; it’s about easing it.

Together, we explore principles of a supportive postpartum and focus on what truly matters to you, so you can feel more grounded and confident instead of overloaded and stressed,

Absolutely.

These sessions are designed to help you integrate the postpartum principles and deepen your support, whether or not you’re utilising doula care.

You can access them as part of a postpartum care package or as a standalone session, whichever works best for you.

If you’re curious about doula care, the mapping session can show you exactly how my services can enhance your postpartum experience. From there, you can choose to upgrade to a care package if it feels right, or continue receiving guidance through ongoing email and text support for any questions.

Your experience matters too. You deserve care that’s just as intentional as the care you’ll give your baby.

Plus, your wellbeing and your baby’s wellbeing are deeply connected. Meeting your needs is meeting theirs.

During the fourth trimester, babies have sensitive, developing nervous systems and rely on their caregivers for co-regulation ie learning how to feel safe, soothed, and secure in the world. In the same way, a caregiver’s stress and responsiveness shape a baby’s lifelong stress patterns and attachment.

This is just one example of how closely intertwined your needs are with your baby’s.

When a mother is nourished and supported, her baby thrives, and so does the whole family for that matter.

The benefits of a supported postpartum are so expansive.

Benefits to the whole family unit, now and into their future, reaching so many layers of their individual and collective wellbeing.

To give a few examples:

  • For Mum: Supports perineal or caesarean recovery, pelvic floor healing, emotional wellbeing, and long-term vitality while reducing risks of depression, anxiety, and depletion - laying the foundation for her health for the next 40 years.
  • For Dad/Partner: Improves mental health, confidence, and bonding, and strengthens communication and teamwork for family life ahead.
  • For Baby: Supports secure attachment, co-regulation, breastfeeding, and healthy nervous system, brain, and immune development - shaping wellbeing for life.
  • For Sibling/s: Promotes emotional security, inclusion, and stability, easing adjustment and strengthening lifelong family bonds.

And because each family member’s experience is so deeply connected, every benefit to one strengthens them all. A supported parent, for example, is better resourced to co-regulate, be present with, and emotionally available for their kids - showing how support for their emotional wellbeing flows throughout the whole family unit.

For many of us, our mothers and grandmothers didn’t have this kind of support. They survived, but they didn’t necessarily thrive. They did what they could with what they had.

But that doesn’t mean it has to be the same for us. Prioritising rest, recovery, and support isn’t self-indulgent. It’s:

  • healing generational patterns of burnout and martyrdom.
  • caring for your physical and mental health in a way that will support you for decades to come.
  • supporting your whole family’s wellbeing.

And it’s setting a new standard for the next generation: We don’t “bounce back”, we move forward - supported, nourished and stronger for it.

Let's talk it through. Contact me here and I'll set a time for a 15-20 minute phone or video call. Or we can email if you'd prefer.
